About Us
Founder…
Most days I wonder around trying to figure out how to get out of my own way. Thank God, God is longsuffering and showers me with grace.
MWA is in its 3rd, maybe 4th generation of ownership. Most members are familiar with the first owner and creator of MonkeyWebApps. But he’s since moved on to bigger fish to bake… (frying is not so popular anymore, but oh so tasty)
I purchased MWA in January of 2025, I was content to lay low in the weeds, until an SEO audit flushed me out of the weeds. The audit lowered MWA’s trust score due to the fact that I’m not a social media rock star like most founders. So here I am striped shirt, tight pants and foofy hair. I live in St Pete Florida,USA. Retired Fortune 250 automation tech.
My Early Days of Direct Marketing
I started direct marketing with a library card and booklet of postal stamps back in the early 80’s. I bought a “News Release” business starter kit for 19.95. In the report was 100s of newsletters, magazines and periodical address, phone number and contact person. Yes! Basically a list. It also taught me how to format a letter news release style. I wrote letter after letter using a Corona typewriter with replaceable ink cartridge. Introducing myself as a direct importer/exporter Davis Enterprises Inc!
Back then editors would write back with a short letter expressing thanks but no thanks with a rate card included for advertising. Looking back I never felt discouraged. I knew someone would pick up my new and novel product. My first product, imported from Japan, was a computerized golf score card that was eventually featured in Entrepreneur magazine leisure section. Off she went! Thousands of sales and many wholesale partnerships later. My non-golfing friends said “It’ll never work…” LoL.
I attended many Direct Marketing conferences and learned from absolute rock stars who later become Internet Marketing rock stars. Always learning in the shadows we were taught to obsess over serving our customers and providing value. Value, so nebulous and different for each person. I decided early on from trial and error to stick with tangible products and services and not stray into downloadable products.
Lately I’ve been playing around with Manus, Claude code, Open AI, Replit, Lovable. Until I find the right sauce to enhance what is already drop dead simple automation in Commission Gorilla, Conversion Gorilla and Page Dyno, they’ll remain the same. Just understand I’m looking for any edge I can use to help members earn bigger commissions. If you have any suggestion pass them on in the support hub.
